ShelterCare Hands Out Bike Helmets

EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene Sunday Streets hit the Bethel Neighborhood Sunday and a local non-profit organization was there handing out free helmets to promote safety.

ShelterCare says bike accidents can lead to significant brain injuries among children and adults; so it handed out 100 helmets to children and adults on a first come, first serve basis.

ShelterCare added a decorating station so kids could also personalize their new safety gear.
