Sheriff Seeking Input in Florence

FLORENCE, Ore. — The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking feedback about public safety in the county.

Sheriff Tom Turner is holding a series of community awareness meetings. He’ll be talking about the county’s progress since the 2012-2013 public safety levy passed.

He will hold one of those meetings Wednesday in Florence at the Siuslaw Valley Fire District. It happens 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The next meetings happens Nov. 6 at Marcola Fire Hall, Nov. 12 at Springfield City Hall and Nov. 13 at Lane County Youth Services. All of those meetings happen 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
