Shoppers Tackle Suspected Eugene Robber

EUGENE, Ore. — An alleged robber in Eugene didn’t get far thanks to alert shoppers who took action.

Nicholas James Fisher, 27, is booked in the Lane County Jail for robbery, theft, menacing and unlawful use of a weapon.

Eugene police say he walked into the Serv-U market on Barger Drive Monday night, wearing a ski mask and robbed the clerk at gunpoint.

Witnesses say they chased the suspect out of the store.
