Man Arrested for Firing Shots

COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — A Cottage Grove man is behind bars for allegedly firing several shots in his home after a family fight

It happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday off Tioga Drive.

Pendergrass surrendered as soon as deputies arrived on scene. He was arrested on charges of endangerment and menacing. No one was injured.

The incident was an example of how dire things are for the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

Dispatchers sent two armored vehicles to the scene, but that took up all the units on duty for the sheriff’s office, including administration, search and rescue, forest patrol, marine patrol and resident deputies.

Well someone sent more than that as I saw multiple undercover state and Sheriff’s vehicles {a total of 13}, the sheriff’s Humvee, and the sheriff’s armored truck. All of that for a guy firing shots. Seems excessive.

  2. Really says:

Then you walk up to him and ask him to stop shooting while he’s armed and suicidal!!!!
