Meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn’s Forecast Discussion:
Temperatures will start off near freezing Sunday with areas of patchy fog and frost.
The next system quickly moves in with showers shortly after noon along the coast and closer to 3-4 p.m. for inland areas. Showers will continue through Tuesday before wrapping up later in the day. This system is looking to be fairly moist so showers will be more widespread, with fewer sunbreaks. The snow level will be at the surface Sunday morning but rise to around 6,000 feet as we move into the workweek; snow will quickly turn to rain along the Coastal range but the Cascades will pick up around 1-3″ through Tuesday.
Gusty winds will also be associated with this system, thus a high wind watch has been issued for the coast with gust expected near 60mph. Winds will be slightly weaker for the Willamette Valley Monday, but gusts could still be around 40mph.
Wednesday and Thursday look to be the driest days this week. Skies will be partly sunny with afternoon highs in the low 50s.
Have a good Veterans Day!
