CHIEF METEOROLOGIST JUSTIN STAPLETON’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:

What a day today! Highs soaring into the upper 60s and low 70s! Warmest afternoon of the year so far for folks in Eugene and Roseburg. Another mild night is on hand with clouds eventually filling in and lows again only falling into the mid 40s.  Tomorrow we’ll hold onto the clouds and highs will be mild but not as warm back into the low to mid 60s, but the showers start to reappear for the first time in a while.

Thursday night into Friday morning, a weak cold front will brush across the state bringing some light showers with it. None of these will be very strong any many folks may not see any showers at all. The coast may hold onto the showers past the morning commute but most spots inland will see them end quickly by mid-morning.

Into the weekend, temperatures cool down just a bit, back down into the mid to upper 50s and another , stronger shot at rain brushes through Saturday night and early on Sunday.  The pattern changes to a colder, more late wintry look next week.  A stronger storm brings down the temps and snow lines Tuesday into Wednesday.

Have a great Thursday!
