EUGENE, Ore. — An old grain silo in the middle of Halsey is coming down one piece at a time.
Crews are demolishing the building that first went up back in 1952.
It hasn’t been used in 15 years, though, and its owner says it’s become a kind of liability.
“I hate to see it come down. It’s been there a long time and it’s really a landmark and people will miss it, I’m sure,” said Halsey resident Al Stain.
The owner says he doesn’t have any plans for the property yet.
