Next Tuesday and Wednesday, crews will pave Silver Lane from River Road to Grove Street.
The $600,000 project to repair the road started in late June. The project is part of a 2008 public bond measure to repair streets in Eugene.
“We planned this to occur during the summer prior to school starting. The contractor worked with me very closely to switch their schedule around to make sure that Silver Lane was paved prior to Labor Day because we have North Eugene High School, and the Yujin Gakuen Elementary and Corridor Elementary all on the same stretch of road,” said project manager Patrick Cox.
Supervisors say they hope to finish the project before Labor Day and before school starts.
