Ski Swap Benefits Local Ski Patrols

EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Events Center is just about full of new and used snow gear for the 2012 Ski Swap.

Shoppers will be let loose to pick through the bargains.

Every piece of equipment and clothing is priced at least 50 percent off.

It’s no wonder the ski patrolers already sold more than 600 tickets for Friday night’s sale. It only costs a dollar to come in and look and likely save a ton of money on both new and used gear.

The ski swap isn’t just good for your wallet. It’s good for your conscience.

Twenty percent of all the money made at the sale Friday and Saturday will go to support the Willamette Pass, Santiam Pass, and Backcountry ski patrols.

The sale starts at 6 p.m. on Friday.
