CORVALLIS, Ore. — A new Corvallis brewpub is already gaining attention with its unique microbrews and its “sky high” addition in the works.
Sky High Brewing owners are still working on getting their restaurant built on the rooftop, but they opened their tap room a few weeks ago and so far they say business has been great.
In Sky High’s tap room you feel like you’re in the brewery.
Guests can either sit downstairs right next to the brew house or in the upstairs loft overlooking the brewers making their beers.
Right now the menu is limited with bar snacks and brew boxed lunches, along with the option to order to-go food from some nearby restaurants.
However, the microbrew list is already booming. So far, the pub has seven flavors in the works, five of them are already on tap and by the time the restaurant opens there should be 12.
“We brew beers in a traditional fashion here as well a Northwest style so we’re offering hoppy Northwest IPA’s alongside malt forward Scottish ale style ambers,” said Sky High’s Brew Kahuna Laurence Livingston.
The beams are set and walls are expected to come in soon upstairs in what will soon be the rooftop restaurant equipped with a full kitchen and outside deck and garden. That’s expected to open the first of the year.
Sky High’s tap room is open Tuesday through Friday at 4:30 and Saturdays at 11:30 a.m.
