Tuesday’s Weather Discussion from Meteorologist Melissa Frey:
Tuesday will be day number five with high temperatures above 90 degrees, our average is to see just one day above 90 in the month of June. Today will likely be the warmest day this week as we’re headed toward 95°.
The ridge of high pressure that has been over us all week is going to peak today and slowly weaken and move south over the next couple of days. As this high pressure moves south, our jet stream will drop south as well, leveling out and bringing in more on-shore flow. With more on-shore flow our temperatures will begin to drop.
By Wednesday we’ll be in the low 90s and then down to the mid 80s by the Fourth of July. A small trough of low pressure will move in Friday. This will bring in some morning clouds and drop our temperatures to the low 80s.
High pressure is back for the weekend which will bring our highs back to the mid to upper 80s Saturday through Monday.
Have a great day!
