Slowly Getting Back to Normal

Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:

After two days of record breaking high temperatures across western Oregon, this weekend is going to feel practically like winter!

On-shore flow has returned and is bringing in some milder air off from the Pacific. Temperatures will still climb about 10 degrees above average for most spots in western Oregon, but not to the record highs that were 20+ degrees above normal.

The Coast will still be in the mid 60s and the Valley and Umpqua Basin will be in the mid to upper 70s.

Clouds will be increasing throughout the day and we could see a few small showers moving through starting Friday night, mainly just for the Coast. High temperatures will drop another 10 degrees Saturday and another round of showers will move in Saturday night, these will still be scattered, but all of us will see widespread showers on both Sunday and Monday.

Have a great weekend! ~Meteorologist Melissa Frey
