Sold: 4J Approves Civic Sale to Eugene

civic stadiumEUGENE, Ore. — After months of debates and four different proposals, the 4J School District opted to save Civic Stadium.

The school board approved the city of Eugene’s proposal Wednesday night to buy the stadium. ┬áThe city offered to buy the land for $4.5 million.

The Eugene Family YMCA and a Fred Meyer group had also submitted a proposal to acquire the stadium.

    I believe the City Council got it wrong. Fred Meyer would have been the best option for the school district and the South Eugene area as a whole.

    dumb headline….
    it isn’t sold, no one has any money..
    and the “imaginary donor” hasn’t stepped up either.
