Spring Break Slows Down Businesses

Spring Break BusinessEUGENE, Ore. — Despite a Duck loss, many students are still in high spirits because it’s spring break but that’s also translating into low sales for nearby businesses.

Businesses on campus say that’s typically the case during all the major breaks in the school year. Employees at Yogurt Extreme on 13th Avenue say Sunday was much different than it was just a couple of days ago.

“Last week, there were lines all the way to down the staircase here and this week it’s been empty basically, just really, really quiet but it’ll pick up once break’s over,” said Tina Maricic, an employee at Yogurt Extreme.

Classes are back in session a week from Monday.
