Springfield Cars Vandalized

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — It wasn’t a very merry Christmas for folks in Springfield who woke up to find their cars were vandalized.

Springfield Police say a number of cars on E Street between 4th and 6th Streets were keyed Wednesday morning.

As of last check the number was a high as nine cars keyed.

Springfield police say the crime is a little baffling.

“It’s unknown especially Christmas Eve. It just makes no sense and we don’t know why somebody would want to do this,” said Officer Larry Turner.

SPD says damage estimates could be anywhere from $100 dollars to $1,000 dollars, depending on the keying to the paint job.
