Springfield Dari Mart Robbed

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Dari Mart Monday night.

Officers say the robbery happened just before 11 p.m. at the Dari Mart on Harlow and Game Farm roads.

They say a man walked in, showed a knife and demanded money from the clerk. He took off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police say the clerk was pretty shaken up.

“It’s not often that people actually come behind the counter and had approximately an 8-inch knife with him and scared her quite bad,” said Sgt. Dave Lewis, Springfield Police Department.

No one was hurt. The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing dark clothing with a hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and had a bandana over his face.
