The second Friday downtown art walk happens from 5-8 p.m.
The public is invited to refreshments and to check out some award-winning work in the city hall gallery.
The event has been a tradition for about two and half years and now brings in 50 to 60 people each time.
“It’s a good time to get out and see some stuff you aren’t use to seeing, and there’s merchants that are artists that are opened up. There are demonstrations or artwork going on so all the way up and down Main Street,” said Niles Schartz, Springfield Art Commissioner.
There are several stops from the 200 to the 700 block of Main Street.
Stores and restaurants stay open late for participants.
