SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Tuesday night is “National Night Out”, a nationwide event that is intended to promote police and community partnerships and neighborhood unity.
Springfield is holding its own series of celebrations Tuesday that promise to be fun for the whole family. They’ll be giving out goodie bags for kids, door prizes for adults and refreshments for everyone.
Police Chief Jerry Smith and McGruff the crime dog will be stopping by neighborhood parks throughout Springfield, including Willamalane Park.
