The Friends of the Springfield Public Library say things were bustling at the downtown library Friday morning as soon as they opened the doors at 10 a.m.
You’ll find all kinds of books from all different genres. The money raised will go towards future purchases for the Springfield Library.
“The money that we contribute helps the library buy e-books, helps the library buy new books, and it helps the library with some of its early literacy programs,” said Jeannie Stonestrom, President of Friends of the Springfield Library.
The event ends at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, but it will open Saturday from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
There’s also a book sale at the community center in Creswell on Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. It runs from noon until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
