Near ROSEBURG, Ore. — A Springfield man died in a crash on Highway 138E about three miles east of Roseburg.
Oregon State Police say at about 2:25 a.m. Wednesday, the 26-year-old was driving a pick-up westbound near milepost 5, when it crossed the eastbound lane and up an embankment and rolled before stopping on its side.
The man was the only person inside the truck, and he was not using safety restraints, police said.
Investigators say he was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was shut down for about three hours during the investigation, OSP said.
His name will be released after next of kin is notified, police said.
