Springfield Schools Take Furlough Days

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Many school districts are waiting on the legislature to make a decision before they finalize their own budgets.

The Springfield School District announced Wednesday it will take two days off this month as it works to balance its budget. I will not hold classes on May 23 and 24.

The district previously scheduled five furlough days, which could have been used as snow days. However, those never occurred.
