EUGENE, Ore. — One thing that’s developing right now, the Irish spirit. It continues to grow as more and more people head out the door to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day.
The shamrocks were up and the music was likely blaring at McShanes in South Eugene. It’s just one of many places with a special lineup Monday night.
Not only did they bring in homemade food, but the employees like to add their own Irish flair.
“We like to do some of the décor. All for the bartenders, some of them will wear fun socks. They get dressed up. It just makes people enjoy the holiday more,” said bartender Amber Johnson.
Of course bartenders say for those going out Monday night, make sure to plan ahead and have a safe option to get home.
