SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Some changes are coming to the McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center. A hospital spokesperson says administration is implementing a small number of staff adjustments across the hospital.
While she wouldn’t specify who will be affected, or how many positions, she did say the reductions affect union-represented and non-represented employees.
The changes are partially due to the fact that fewer patients are seeking inpatient hospital care. The spokesperson said the government is also reimbursing hospitals less.
As for impacts on patients, the hospital released the following statement: “High quality care for our patients is always our top priority. These adjustments will not impact the care provided for our patients. We remain focused on efficient operations and are committed to providing excellent healthcare.”
