State Police Looking for Dog’s Owner

011414.hwy228_mp15_dogCRAWFORDSVILLE, Ore. — Police are trying to find the owner of a dog that was found injured on the side of the road in Linn County on Highway 228, east of Crawfordsville near Brush Creek Road early Tuesday morning.

They think the dog may have fallen out of the back of a pickup or was clipped by a passing vehicle.

The dog is being treated by a veterinarian in Albany. The vet believes the dog may be a Walker Hound breed.

Anyone with information about the dog’s owner is asked to call OSP Northern Command Center dispatch at 800-452-7888.

    I am not positive, but the dog looks like one that my deceased neighbor had. He passed away several months ago. I am located up McKenzie. He had several hounds and now they are gone.
