Still No Rain in Sight

Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion

The first heat wave of the 2013 summer season has come to an end. The jet stream has leveled out and with cooler marine air moving in our high temperatures will drop.

We have a slight trough of low pressure off shore which will help the marine layer to develop each morning and move into western Oregon. The extra clouds along with a cooler air mass will mean our high temperatures stay in the upper 70s Friday.

The weekend will continue to be quite mild. We’ll see brief morning clouds and highs in the low to mid 80s.

Clear skies and less on-shore flow Monday and Tuesday will allow us to get back to the mid to upper 80s.

Have a great Weekend!
