SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Lane County sheriff’s deputies say a car found in the McKenzie River Tuesday last night points to a larger problem.
They say the Nissan shows signs of being stolen, including broken locks and ignition.
Emergency crews searched the river just in case anyone went into the water with the car, but they didn’t find anyone.
Deputies say car thieves often dump evidence like this in the river.
