Stolen OSU Science Equipment Found

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Police found some stolen science equipment in a large cooler in a parking lot at Oregon State University.

An OSU employee called police early Wednesday morning after finding a suspicious container in the parking lot south of the Kerr Administration building.

Troopers couldn’t tell who it belong to, so they blocked off the area and called the OSP Explosives unit for help.

Police closed 15th Street between Jefferson and Washington streets for an hour and reopened the area at about 8 a.m.

They used a robot to make sure the cooler was not dangerous.

Inside the cooler, they found stolen equipment that was stolen Saturday from the OSU College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences.
