COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — The recent storm did some heavy damage to the Middlefield Golf Course in Cottage Grove.
Now the city is working to clean up the mess. Several downed trees, branches and other debris fell on the course. The public works department says it will take two to three months to clean it all up and as much as $25,000.
“We’ll have to bring additional people on board to help with this cleanup, and then we will move this material down to our shop, and later this spring we’ll have to rent a big tub grinder and everything will be chipped, and then we will use the chips around our parks,” said Jan Wellman, Public Works Director.
The course is now playable, but there are some obstacles along the way.
