Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:
A warm front is bringing in warmer air this afternoon along with some decent rainfall. High temperatures will top out in the mid 40s with lows only dropping to the low 40s. This storm brought in a wintry mix to the Portland area and all snow to Seattle this morning. We’re also seeing snow showers across the Cascades, however the snow level is rising and will reach 7,000′ by this afternoon, meaning the passes will see the snow switch to rain later today. The rain will pick up when a cold front moves in tonight. Showers will continue off and on through mid-day Saturday.
Sunday is looking dry as is most of Monday, but we may see another round of showers Monday evening. High temperatures will continue to climb through the weekend to about 50 degrees by Monday. Lows will stay in the mid 30s through the weekend.
Christmas Eve and Christmas day will be dry and mostly sunny. We’ll see highs in the mid 40s and lows in the upper 20s and low 30s
Have a great weekend!
