Meteorologist Melissa Frey’s Forecast Discussion:
The valley is stuck in the fog and is going to be hard pressed to break free this afternoon. The rest of western Oregon is enjoying sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 50s.
A weak front will pass through Thursday night that could drop a few showers, but the bigger story is Friday’s storm. This cold front will not only bring showers for all of us Friday night and rain Saturday, but it will also bring in some very chilly air.
Highs will struggle to get out of the 40s in Eugene on Saturday and the entire state will be in the same boat.
The snow level will drop bot 3,000 feet Saturday and 2,500 feet Sunday. This means another round of snow is on the way for the higher foothills, passes and ski resorts.
It’ll be back to dry weather Sunday and we should stay that way through Tuesday, although temperatures won’t warm much.
Have a great day!
