Students Gear Up for March Madness

EUGENE, Ore. — With the Ducks headed to the Big Dance, students took a break from studying for finals to celebrate the big win.

Some students say it helps make up for the football team not making it to the national championship game. Not even final exams could slow down students’ excitement about March Madness.

“I was studying during the semifinals on a building on campus. Everybody was sitting silently while watching the game on their computers, taking a little break from the game. It definitely got some attention,” said UO student Max Brettler.

This is the team’s first conference tournament championship since 2007.
