Students Perform Thriller Dance

EUGENE, Ore. — Students at Howard Elementary had no problem getting into the Halloween spirit Thursday afternoon.

First, they paraded around the school and out onto the playground in their costumes. Then, the big finale: the fourth and fifth graders performed a flash mob Thriller dance they learned in their P.E. class.

Principal Allan Chinn says students were practicing, even while they weren’t in class.

“Kids are really liking it. I mean, I’ve seen kids out at recess doing their Thriller dance, so they’re getting really into it,” Chinn said.

The flash mob is a new addition to the Halloween parade this year. Their new P.E. teacher taught them the dance in class.
