Students Play Real Game of Life

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Springfield fifth graders got a preview of life after high school.

Kids at Hamlin Middle School got together to play “The Real Game of Life” Thursday morning.

It’s a life-size, interactive game modeled after the popular board game “The Game of Life.”

The idea is to give kids an idea of how their decisions could affect their lives further down the road.

“We want them to start understanding that it can affect their future, what they do,” said Katie Yeager, Springfield Chamber of Commerce Membership/Event Coordinator.

“Even though it’s in a game, life is sort of a game and you have to play the game just to get through life,” Guy Lee 5th grader Kai-lin Dyck.

The school organized the game with the help of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
