Substation Failure Causes Power Outage

PowerALBANY, Ore. — Pacific Power says it experienced an equipment failure at a substation Monday causing the power to go out for residents in Albany and Corvallis.

Pacific Power says around 4:30 p.m. a substation in Albany failed, affecting around 30,000 customers.

The electric company was able to restore power by 7:15 p.m.
