Friday’s Weather Discussion from Meteorologist Melissa Frey:
Happy FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!!! Summer is officially here and it’s going to look like it….for two days.
High pressure is sneaking up from the south today, this will help to clear out the clouds, bring in the sun and the heat. We’ll see mostly sunny skies this afternoon with highs in the low to mid 70s. Saturday will be even warmer. We’ll start out sunny and highs will climb to the mid to upper 70s. Mid day, you’ll start to notice some high clouds moving in. This is the first sign of an approaching storm.
An area of low pressure will move in from the south on Sunday. We’ll see fairly heavy rain with this storm as it taps into tropical moisture. Highs will fall to the low 70s.
There are two additional storms headed our direction after Sunday’s. This will keep the rain going through Tuesday.
Have a great first day of summer!!!
