Summer Sizzle For Tuesday

Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:

A sizzler today again with highs in the low 90s, which makes 11 days in August and 27 days of 90 or higher since July 1st! Hot high pressure will keep things very hot over the next couple of days with highs in the mid to upper 90s Tuesday. Some areas may approach new records tomorrow, however, even if we don’t, we’re still looking at an unusually long stretch of hot weather this summer.

Eventually, cooler weather will prevail as we round into the end of the week and heading into the holiday weekend forecast. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect for this week: 8-25 wx pix

Heading into the weekend, cooler Pacific air will knock everyone back inland into the 70s and a slight chance for a few isolated showers later on Saturday, but more likely on Sunday. That said, Duck and Beaver home openers will both be mostly cloudy and Autzen might see the best chance for some light showers with a 7:30pm kickoff.

Have a great Tuesday!
