Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
The weekend is looking to get back to a summery feel as the low moves east and high pressure starts to re-assert itself in the Northwest. Friday started off cloudy but already by lunchtime, clouds have been breaking up and we’ll be back to a mostly sunny afternoon. Highs today will be back in the low 80s inland, low to mid 60s at the coast.
For folks heading to Brownsville for the Bi-Mart Willamette Country Music Festival, the weather should cooperate with sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s Friday through Sunday where we’ll get close to 90. Lots of sunshine as well, Saturday morning should start cloudy, otherwise its clear for the rest of the weekend. Some isolated thunderstorms will fire up in the mountains on Sunday and Monday because of an upper level low forming off the California coastline. There’s a potential for some of them to spill down into the valley foothils but any that do will be very spotty.
The weather stays sunny and warm in the upper 80s early next week as well. It looks like summer will be back this weekend and next week for sure.
Have a great weekend!
