METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
A few hours of clouds Sunday morning, that quickly burned off to reveal some bright blue skies. High temperatures climbed into the upper 80s inland and upper 60s along the coast.
High pressure remains in control Monday through Wednesday. Skies will remain mostly clear inland with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s, low 90s in the Umpqua Basin. The coast will keep a few more clouds, especially in the morning; highs will remain in the upper 60s.
An upper level low sitting off the California coast will move through southeastern Oregon, Wednesday and Thursday. This will support thunderstorm development in the Cascades, including the mountains in Douglas County, each afternoon.
Next weekend is looking “cooler” with high temps closer to 80 degrees inland and mid 60s along the coast.
Have a wonderful Week!
