Sun For All in the Near Future

video preview image

Another day in the valley, another day stuck in the fog. Everywhere else saw plenty of sunshine Friday with highs in the upper 40s. For those stuck in the fog, it’s only a short drive to above 1,000 ft or the coast to get out of the grey and gloominess.

There is some hope insight for more sun by the end of the weekend, but first we have to get through Saturday. Saturday will be much like the past couple of days with everywhere seeing sunshine by late morning except for the valley. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s along the coast, mid 40s in the basin, and upper 30s for the valley.

As flow switches to on shore by late Sunday it should help mix things up, breaking apart the fog in the valley quicker. On the flip side, the coast can expect more fog in the morning with sunbreaks in the afternoon because of the switched airflow.

The next chance for rain looks to be Wednesday as a cold front swings through; although weak, it will give us some much needed rain after being dry for more than a week.

Have a wonderful weekend!
