METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Clear skies overnight caused a chilly start Monday morning with lows in the 40s inland and near 50 along the coast. A few areas of fog in the morning will quickly burn off, leading to have plenty of sunshine by the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 70s in the valley, low 80s in the Umpqua Basin and low 60s along the coast.
Warm and sunny weather continues Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure remains in control. A thermal trough will develop along the Pacific Coast, bringing very warm air into western Oregon. High temps will be in the upper 60s along the coast, low 80s for the valley and upper 80s for the Umpqua Basin.
Sunshine and warm weather sticks around for the end of the week into next weekend as high pressure remains in control. High temps will remain in the 60s along the coast, near 80 for the valley and low 80s for the Umpqua Basin.
