Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Evening Forecast Discussion:
We’re in store for a really nice Fall pattern for the entire 7-day forecast. Another night of clear skies, a quick cooldown into the mid 30s for early Friday morning. Valley residents will again have to battle the dense fog for much of the morning, but it’ll clear out for full sunshine again in the afternoon. Clear and chilly for the area Friday night football games.
By the weekend, the dense fog in the morning will be gone and a good push of warmer air will be filling in from the south, meaning with full sunshine, we should be push weekend highs to near 70! The Umpqua valley spots will likely climb into the low 70s all weekend.
As for tailgaiting at Autzen ahead of the Ducks v. Cougars at 7pm will be very pleasant with sunny skies and highs near 70. But gametime will likely cool off quickly and looking at around 59 for kickoff.
The ridge holds into next week as well, so we’ll be seeing a sunny stretch of over 7 days straight going into the back end of October.
Have a great Friday!
