Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
A quick moving front dropped about a tenth of an inch of rain today but we were back to mostly sunny skies by the afternoon. Going into tonight, we’ll stay mostly clear until the valley fog fills back in right before sunrise. Lows tonight will be cooler, back down into the upper 30s. Satuday starts a great looking weekend (for the most part).
The weekend is still looking like a winner with sunny skies back on Saturday and highs pushing into the mid 60s, and possibly even upper 60s if the fog clears quickly. Sunday also will stay warm with more clouds. A front, that for most of Saturday that has been hung up just offshore, will slowly sag southward through the state late Sunday through Monday bringing rain showers and snow above 3000 feet.
Next week will be a bit of a rollercoaster, which is typical for early Spring. Warmer and sunny in the 60s for Tuesday and Wednesday, then another storm brings back the cooler weather along with some decent rain for the official kickoff of Spring on Thursday.
Have a great weekend!
