Super Soaker This Weekend

Justin’s Thursday Night Forecast Discussion:

Fairly quiet going into what will be a wet weekend forecast for both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight tonight, cloudy skies with a few sprinkles but the real show begins tomorrow into the weekend.

Showers become more widespread by late evening and the winds pick up overnight into Saturday morning. Right now, kids headed to College Gameday early Saturday will see windy conditions but isolated showers. The main line looks to come through early afternoon, heavy at times. Showers scatter a bit more by both Duck and Beaver kickoffs later that day.

Sunday another strong storm will blast in on Sunday night into Monday. That one has the potential to be a substantial windmaker and may be our first big windstorm at the coast this season. Models are showing a series of waves with plenty of rain and mountain snow hitting us about every 24 hours through next week. We’ll have to watch for some minor flooding especially in the coast range next week.

Have a great weekend!
