Survey: Americans Not Saving Enough

Money(CNN) — Think your savings account isn’t as big as it should be? You may be right.

According to a new bankrate.com survey about one in four Americans has no emergency savings, and many of those who do save aren’t saving enough.

the recommendation is to have about six months’ worth of expenses put to the side for a rainy day, but only 23 percent of those surveyed had that much.

the results are based on a survey of a thousand people conducted earlier this month.

The US government currently holds over $17 trillion in debt and has unfunded liabilities of over $124 trillion.

Six months of savings? Don’t make me laugh. And you wonder where people learn this from?

The price of everything continues to rise, which means the cost of operating a business goes up. And at the same time the current administration passes more bills to help the non-working, which gets passed onto the working class in the form of taxation. It seems like just making it from paycheck to paycheck is a major accomplishment anymore. I think it might be time to take a lesson from the welfare class, set back and wait for the check to show up in the mail and if I need money for anything else sell marijuana.
