EUGENE, Ore. — Some budding musicians got to play along with the Eugene Symphony at a concert Tuesday.
The concert was called “The Orchestra Moves” and it’s part of the Link Up program put on by the Weill Institute at Carnegie Hall. It connects schools with professional musicians. The goal is to reach out to schools that have had their music programs cut.
“Hopefully this will encourage children to want to explore music more, to participate in music. We’re trying to develop future musicians and audiences as well as just give them an enriching experience,” says Sandra Weingarten with the Eugene Symphony.
