Oregon Solider Killed in Afghanistan

GHAZNI PROVINCE, Afghanistan — An Oregon soldier serving in Afghanistan died in combat on Friday. Captain James Nehl was from Gardiner, near Reedsport. The Department of Defense says he was killed in small arms fire while on patrol. He was based in fort Riley, Kansas.

National Guard Prepares for Mission
