209,000 Jobs Added in July

(CNN) — After a gangbusters jobs growth in June, hiring slowed to a less impressive pace in July. The United States economy added 209,000 jobs in July. That’s down from 298,000 in June. The unemployment rate rose for the first time since February to 6.2 percent, up from 6.1 percent in June.
