Police said the driver left a friend’s house, made a wrong turn, and crashed into a ditch.
The first call came in around 3:30 a.m., but police did not locate him until after 5:00 a.m. Since he was unfamiliar with the area, police used sirens and cell phone tracking to figure out his exact location.
Troopers said alcohol did play a role in the crash. “Yes, yes that does play a role, 19 year-old male so he is being processed for DUI and that’ll continue here shortly,” said Trooper Evan Sether.
The driver received very minor injuries in the crash and had to be extricated from his car.
