Thursday’s Weather Discussion from Meteorologist Melissa Frey:
The first raindrops of June have fallen! Between 6:00 and 8:00 this morning, Eugene picked up .15″ of rain. An area of low pressure is making it’s way south and east from western Washington, which will keep those showers going through this afternoon. High temperatures will struggle to get above 65° today.
By Friday we’ll be in the clear from this storm and we’ll see high pressure rebound just in time for many graduations and Father’s day Weekend. Friday and Saturday are looking mostly sunny, dry and with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
By Sunday we’ll see another area of low pressure moving in from the south. This will bring back the clouds late in the day and possible thunder storms across the Cascades.
This storm will move across Oregon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, which will bring back the scattered showers and drop our temperatures to the upper 60s and low 70s.
Have a great day!
