EUGENE, Ore. – Nike co-founder Phil Knight is by far the most generous donor the University of Oregon has ever known. An Oregon graduate, Knight is also huge fan of the school’s athletic program. That is easy to see when you look at where most of his donations in recent years have gone.
In Part 2 of our five-part series, we follow the Phil Knight money trail. He has given millions and millions of dollars to the University of Oregon. That generosity has literally changed the landscape of campus, and altered the donor-recipient relationship forever.
